Jeffrey Lee Pierce and The Gun Club toured Europe in the fall/winter of 1983 between their classic second and third albums, "Miami" and "The Birth, The Death, The Ghost", released in 1982 and 1984 respectively.
This was a period of intense transformation for the band, both in terms of personnel and sound, as they moved from the blues-punk of the first two records to a more polished alternative/indie sound on their third long player. Featuring mostly songs from the first two albums as well as some rarities this live set from Florence in November of 1983 is a perfect distillation of the group. Raw, live, intense LA blues-punk from The Gun Club, released in a limited edition hand numbered deluxe casewrapped 'tip-on' sleeve LP.
