To put the band in a context, Legend sounded like an unrivalled DIY-produced mix of Black Sabbath-like heavy metal riffs, Pentanglesque vocal harmonies and the horny groove of Thin Lizzy. Though they never became as famous as f.i. Judas Priest or Iron Maiden, many genre fans rate Legend as one of the most interesting bands of the era.
